Lebanon

The New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) has upgraded its travel advice to ‘extreme risk’ relating to all travel to Lebanon. This advice is due to the escalating tension between Lebanon and Israel.

There is no cover available under TERRORISM (Leisure Travel - Section 8/Business Travel - Section 9/Global Edge - Section 6/Pacific Rim - Section 4) for all travel to Lebanon.

War and Terrorism

a) This insurance does not apply to any Loss arising out of War, civil war, invasion, insurrection, revolution, use of military power or usurpation of government or military power.

East Timor

Further to our advisory issued on 31 May 2006, there is still no cover for travel into East Timor.
