Solomon Islands Update

This morning the NZ Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade issued a travel advisory with regards to civil unrest and demonstrations in the Solomon Islands, particularly in the Honiara area.

For all Mike Henry Travel Insurance Policies issued prior to Thursday 20th April 2006 cover will be provided under the usual terms of the policy for any persons travelling to the Solomon Islands. For anyone choosing to cancel their travel arrangements cover for cancellation of travel does not apply.

Travellers to the Solomon Islands should exercise caution, avoid large public gatherings and monitor radio news broadcasts.

For policies purchased on, or after, Thursday 20th March 2006 there will be no cover for any costs associated directly or indirectly to civil unrest in the Solomon Islands.
