Scenic Mpumalanga and the Blyde River Canyon The “BIG FIVE ” of Kruger National Park

DAY 1: JOHANNESBURG – MPUMALANGA
Departing at 06h30 from our hotel in Randburg, north of Johannesburg, we travel the Panorama Route through the beautiful scenery of Mpumalanga. Passing through the historic town of Pilgrims Rest we visit the spectacular Blyde River Canyon and Bourkes Potholes before reaching our overnight stop at an Aventura Resort (or similar). (All meals).

DAY 2: MPUMALANGA – KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
This morning we undertake a tour of the Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre where we have the opportunity to see and learn about lion, leopard, serval, honey badgers, eagles and vultures. We then continue to the famous wildlife sanctuary of the Kruger National Park, one of the oldest game reserves in Africa, and enjoy our first game drive en route to our camp. (All meals).

DAY 3/4: SAFARI IN KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
Our days are spent exploring the wonders of the Park and observing numerous species of animals and birds during early morning and late afternoon game drives. During the heat of the day we relax in the camp. Optional night drive or guided walk (own expense). (All meals).

DAY 5: JOHANNESBURG
After an early morning game drive we leave Kruger Park and return to our hotel in Johannesburg at +-16h00. (Breakfast and lunch).

The itinerary will depend on local conditions.

ACCOMMODATION & ITINERARY OPTIONS
OPTION 1
Upgrade to chalet style accommodation (Kruger Park)
Clients wishing to undertake the tour on an accommodated basis rather than camping, may upgrade to basic, chalet style accommodation subject to availability (supplement applicable). Meals will be taken in the campsite with the rest of the group.
