The main beach of Chaweng offers a wide variety of shopping, restaurants and nightlife without losing its laid back charm and ambiance. Other popular beaches include Maenam, Lamai, Chengmon and Taling Ngam.

GETTING TO KOH SAMUI

DIRECT FLIGHT FROM BANGKOK
There are also several direct flights to/from Bangkok each day. The flight is approximately one hour.

FERRY FROM SURAT THANI
Train or Fly from Bangkok to Surat Thani and then transfer by Ferry to Koh Samui. Your transfer price includes pick up from the train station or airport, transfer to the ferry, ferry ride and transfer to your Koh Samui resort and vice versa. The ferry ride is approximately 90 minutes.

WEATHER IN KOH SAMUI
Located on the opposite side of the peninsula, the wather patterns in Koh Samui vary greatly from those in Phuket. Koh Samui is hot and dry from February to April and June to September. The rainy season is from October through to January and also the month of May.

ANG THONG ISLANDS NATIONAL MARINE PARK
Ang Thong Marine Park consists of 40 islands interspersed and tranquil blue lagoons, coral reefs, and deserted sandy beaches. There are fascinating rock formations, beautiful natural caves, and even salt lake enclosed by steep ocher-coloured rock walls.

CORAL ISLANDS
A short drive takes you to Thong-Krut Bay where you board a long tail boat for a journey out to Coral Island. Legend has it that the island is bewitched and as a result no dogs can live there. Another phenomena is that just a short distance from the sea, on this small island, there is a fresh water well!

NGA YUAN ISLAND
Inflatable dinghies will carry you from the shore to your awaiting boat which will cruise out to Nang Yuan Island. For avid snorkellers, the island is surrounded by some beautiful coral reefs just awaiting to be explored.

SAMUI SEA KAYAK
Paddle on specially designed sea kayaks amongst the outcrop of limestone island formations and coral gardens of Ang Thong National Park. Explore the parts of the island chain where boats do not go through, rock passage ways and parts of Ang thong where coral floors cannot be reached by any other way.
Operates: Daily (January - August). Duration: 7am-5pm
