Kiwifruit & Farm Tour
Enjoy a fully guided 1 hour, fascinating tour of a working farm and Kiwifruit orchard. Learn about New Zealand's finest fruit, Zespri Green and Zespri Gold and see why it is one of our biggest export earners. Hand feed the friendly farm animals as you drive through 125 acres of Forestry, Avocado, Kauri and Kiwifruit plantations. See the new sheep milking shed, a rare opportunity in New Zealand, visit the kids mini farm, feed the baby animals, get real close to huge eels and watch the bees making honey. Sit back in Café 360 and treat yourself to Longridge's own "River of Gold" Kiwifruit ice cream, simply delicious.
Jet Boating
Jet boating is a New Zealand icon and it doesn't get any better than at Longridge Park. Two purpose built boats operate with a capacity of 50 people per hour, 364 days of the year. A "Sensational" 30 minute Jet Boat ride will wind you through a narrow, native bush-clad gorge, viewing what is reputedly the North Island's most scenic river. A final adrenalin rush of speed through fast flat water is topped off with a series of 360-degree jet spins. Wet weather apparel and life jackets are provided. Trips are on the hour from 9am.
KIWIFRUIT COUNTRY
Experience a fully guided tour that departs every hour. Each tour lasts for 40 minutes and you will be given a great insight into the Kiwifruit Industry that is so heavily relied upon in this area. Kiwifruit are one of New Zealands' major exports. Te Puke is the Kiwifruit Capital of the World. Taking one of the tours, you will ride in a unique kiwi kart and travel through the orchards and packhouse. A recent addition to the Orchard is the new "Gold Kiwifruit". These are a much sought after fruit and very popular. You will also be shown the many other different fruits that New Zealand grows, such as the Nashi, Oranges, Mandarins, Feijoa trees, Persimmons and Carob Trees, just to name a few. Returning from the tour you will be able to take in the fully working "Beehive". Here you are able to see the bees working away and get an insight as to the importance of these insects to the Kiwifruit Industry. FISHING
