Lake Taupo, located in the centre of the North Island offers a beautiful lake famous for it's Rainbow Trout and a myriad of water sports.

At the southern end of the lake is Tongariro National Park - a winter wonderland which has some great mountain skifields and in the summer offers some spectacular hiking.

Taupo is a region of fresh, natural contrasts.

TAUPO BUNGY
Join thousands of jumpers from around the world that have "Taken the Plunge" with Taupo Bungy. Located minutes away from the centre of Taupo over the Waikato River, upstream from Huka Falls. For those seeking the ultimate ground rush, Taupo Bungy specialises in water touches, or for those of you not into the wet look you can opt for a high and dry jump too!
Operates: Daily 9am-5pm (may be extended in summer months)

HUKA JET
30 minutes of pure fun and exhilaration and enjoy the incredible water level views of the spectacular, foaming Huka Falls. Feel the power of 360 degree spins, slide past cliffs and trees and feel steaming hot water from natural springs. Combined with the excitement and the driver's expert commentary, the trip also includes the geothermal power plant, Prawn Park, the Aratiatia Dam all in a varied and interesting landscape.

WAITOMO GLOWWORM CAVES - WAIKATO
Your guided tour will take you into a subterranean wonderland, through stunning underground scenery including the magnificent 'Cathedral'. The acoustics in the cave are world-renowned. The climax of the tour is an unrivalled boat trip through the spectacular glowworm grotto. As you enter this galaxy of tiny living lights, you'll be fascinated by the glowworms that light your way.

ARANUI CAVE TOUR
Located just three kilometres from the Waitomo Glowworm Cave, the Aranui Cave is a must see. The beautifully delicate formation in the Aranui Cave creates a place for quiet contemplation and time to reflect on the wonders of nature. Guided tours take you along safe boardwalks into tall narrow chambers, the stunning shades of pink, white and pale brown stalactites in the Aranui Caves are truly spectacular.

FISHING
Lake Taupo and the surrounding riverways offer some great trout fishing. Ask your travel agent to contact us for trout fishing tours/charters to suit your needs.

TAUPO TANDEM SKYDIVING
Experience an adrenaline filled tandem skydive, exiting the plane up to 15000 feet (over one minute in freefall), you have the opportunity to experience the incomparable exhilaration of free-falling. A spectacular parachute ride over the stunning background of the Lake Taupo region and the snow capped volcanoes ends the adventure.
