A visit to the Te Anau Glowworm Caves on the isolated western shores of Lake Te Anau is a fascinating experience. The caves are the most recently formed section of the extensive Aurora Cave system and lie within Fiordland National Park. Your journey begins when you board the boat for the 35 minute cruise across Lake Te Anau. On disembarking you enter Cavern House for a multi-media introduction to the Te Anau Caves. Experienced guides take you underground in small groups through the caves by path and by small boat.
