WHERE TO STAY?
Ka’anapali
The beach at Ka’anapali is no doubt one of the best on the island! Golden sand with plenty of safe swimming areas this long beach stretches for many miles with most of our chosen hotels offering beachfront locations. Ka’anapali beach is close to the town of Lahaina, an old Whaling village with quaint shops , galleries and delightful cafes - a great place to spend a day or go out for an evening meal.
Wailea
Nestled along 1.5 miles of Maui’s spectacular southern coastline, Wailea resort is one of the world’s leading luxury destinations. With world-class accommodation, nationally acclaimed beaches, elegant residential communities and a host of outstanding shopping, dining and recreational activities, including the award winning Wailea Golf Club and Wailea Tennis Club.
Kihei
Affordable paradise! In South Maui you will find a more relaxed, unhurried atmosphere. Here you can still find beautiful secluded beaches, friendly faces and uncrowded streets and parks. Plus Kihei boasts the best weather in Maui, Kihei is ideal for those on a budget. GETTING AROUND
Maui is a great place to try driving on the other side! With clearly marked road directions it is one of the easiest places to navigate. We recommend hiring a car for the duration of your stay to allow you the freedom to explore this wonderful island. By picking up your car and returning it to the same depot you will save on transfer costs and avoid any one way fees. Please see page 5 for our great weekly car hire rates.

WHALE SIGHTINGS
Every December the water in between Maui and Molokai is home to thousands of Pacific Humpback whales who have come to breed and give birth. Taking a boat tour almost guarantees a sighting but we’ve also had great success right from the beach outside the resorts at Ka’anapali.
ADVENTURE PLUS
Almost 3/4 of this island is wilderness and this provides the adventurous traveller with some very exciting options. Try riding down Mt Haleakala on a mountain bike for 38 exhilarating miles! Or take one of the fantastic day trips to Molokini crater; a small marine protected atoll a short boat ride from Maui where you can find some of the best snorkelling or scuba diving in the islands. Learn to surf, hang glide or parasail, or take a ride to Paia on the north shore to see professional windsurfers riding down 20 foot waves.
GOLF
Maui is considered one of the worlds’ top golf destinations and with more than 17 championship golf courses (some home of the PGA tour events) it is truly a golfers dream.
ART & HISTORY
A visit to the old whaling village of Lahaina is a must, this quaint village is now the art centre of the Pacific and you can find superb prints and originals for very reasonable prices. TRAVELLING WITH CHILDREN
Maui is ideal for families as it offers safe swimming beaches, easily accessible parks and plenty of cheap dining options. There are also plenty of large supermarkets which is ideal when staying in one of the many condominium properties that we feature. The Maui Ocean Center is a fantastic day out especially for families; This state-of-the-art marine park on the island of Maui is the only facility in the world dedicated to fostering understanding, wonder and respect for Hawaii’s marine life. |
