North Shore Beaches - The North Shore is legendary for its monumental and perfectly formed waves and it draws an awed crowd of spectators when the surf’s up in the winter. Summer months bring calm conditions great for snorkelling and kayaking.

ATTRACTIONS & SIGHTSEEING

Diamond Head - Possibly one of the most famous craters in the world, Diamond Head is located on the South-East Coast of Oahu over looking Waikiki Beach. There are two sets of stairs to reach the top of the rim (each has approx 90 steps) and although it is quite a strenuous hike the views are well worth it! There is also a tunnel (which you will need a torch for).
Tip: Make sure you do the trip early in the day as there is no shade.

Dining Tip: Looking for a cheap eat right on the beach? We found the ideal place at the back of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel (Pink Palace) a lovely spot called the Maitai Bar with outdoor tables and a live band right on the beach. Mains start at just US$13.
